Create plans to develop specific expertise and enhance the culture of the organisation (including induction, performance management, management and leadership development, learning, career, talent) in line with business strategy and initiatives
Lead for the Management and Leadership offering. Programme manager for Harvard Café's. Work with the central team to share best practice, develop and deliver content and to ensure the local organisation benefits from centrally available support & offerings.
Design and deliver high quality learning solutions. Facilitate events and training and/or select the best internal resource, external providers and ensures delivery and content is adapted to suit Canon context and culture
Work closely with the Business stakeholders and HR Business Partners in order to complete business learning needs analysis. Assess and translate these into learning curriculum and identify the provider (central, local or external). Obtain agreement for external funding as required and ensure spend is monitored and the use of funds are optimised.
Promotion and marketing of the Learning & Development proposition, educating employees and colleagues on current L&D best practice. Ensuring the curriculum is used effectively across the organisation and that L&D is recognized as a strategic business tool to attract and retain high performers and high potential employees.
Localisation and activation of central talent management strategy, ensuring the process and methods are effectively implemented by HR partners and managers. Ensure activity is aligned with and supports the development of our Employee Value Proposition.
Design and deliver local talent development strategies to build a solid talent pipeline and extend the reach to include strategies to engage the full spectrum of talent (e.g. Early in Career). Work with Resourcing specialist and HRBP’s to anticipate skills gaps, identify opportunities for internal talent mobility and future leaders development.
Work closely with the business and HR to lead the development and implementation of a local talent acquisition strategy finding innovative ways to fill anticipated skills gaps and build the talent pipeline by alignment and accreditation of our Early in Career programme. Inspire and lead the learning team, growing capability through development of expertise and skills and ensure the efficiency of learning organisation and resources through effective management of team resource and budget
Participate/Lead EMEA wide projects and People Development activities as appropriate for example; Canon Coaching Network, induct and supervise local business coaches, Talent Development or Performance Management Initiatives etc
Promote Canon Brand by participating in networking events, public speaking requests and membership of relevant forums/communities.

Experience in learning, talent and organisational design strategy development and implementation.
Proven delivery and coaching skills to senior level including experiential learning and facilitation.
A passion for creating a link between business goals, employee performance, and training & learning.
Experience of working with external suppliers and consultants
Experience of managing relationships with senior management teams, taking ownership and providing authoritative consultation.
Ability to manage and control team budget
Coaching qualification preferable and psychometric level A&B preferred.
Resourcing and assessment experience desirable.
English and local language is required.
